The Subconscious Computer

I looked into varius resorce management softwares that would look internally at the subconscious processing going on within the computer.  I quickly became aware that there were certain levels of events within the computer. With the first been the easiest to access to the last which is near impossible to view without an external observer. Below is a rough example of the levels of events.

 Level 1 - Conscious Computer

Starting at the highest level is the conscious. The user interface. This is everything currently being displayed on screen to the user.

Level 2 - Processes

Then the first level of subconsciousness. The Processes. This is the open processing that are affecting the conscious computer. Any apps opened by the user that are minimized or not visible in the user interface. These apps are in a state of flux, moving to and from the conscious level. These are easy to view from the task manager.

Level 3 - Background Processes

At this level there is no user interaction. Background processes are started by the computer. Run without any signs to the user. These background processes may open or close other apps, or affect apps that are currently open. Again these can bee seen in the task manager but there purpose starts to become unknown to the user.

Level 4 - Machine Processes

This is beyond my knowledge of computers. The basics for this and all following levels are the hidden processes that allow the machine to work. Using procMon you can view some of these events. Within seconds there can be hundreds of thousands of these event already recorded.

Unknown Levels -

Without the knowledge of the core mechanics of a computer it is hard to say how many level there would be at this point.

Final Level - binary

The final level is the binary level which merges the digital environment with the natural. This is where electronic signals are manipulated using semiconductors. The signals can be 1 or 0 and from the various combinations comes all previous levels of consciousness. It is impossible to view these events from within the computer though everything that happens is a result of them.
