Having only a week to plan, film and edit a 60 second short was quite a big challenge and required a lot of work to be done each day. As a result the planning stage was very short as i wanted to have plenty of time to film and edit. In the end i managed to make a really good shot film with some interesting shots. It has been very inspiring to see myself create a 60 second short in such a small amount of time.
It was interesting to edit the film with the viewers attention in mind, planning where they would be looking and where to give focus to. Choosing a fast paced song gave me lots of places to cut the film. However it would have been interesting to try and edit it with different styles of song.
It was interesting making the fire sounds for the film. I knew they would add an extra level to the film. I think it would have been better to have more definition of different sounds when different colours were shown. For example harsh loud sounds for dark reds and softer sounds for yellows.
