The Island - Resources

The first variable I worked on was the resources stored on the island. The is the very core of the networks created across real islands, where resources are traded, shared and exchanged. Rather than going into detail about what resources were stored I created a general variable " resources" that stored the value for all resources on an island. This "resources" variable represents people, food, trees, wildlife, produce, coal, whiskey and all things of value on the island.

Rule 1 : An Island can store "resources".

These resources have to come from somewhere. Often there is a natural exchange where trees and wildlife die and provide resources and objects are washed ashore. Although this increase in resources is very small compared to industrial developments it is still important in kickstarting a network.

Rule 2: Islands gain resources over time.
