Selection of Shots

Here is a selection of some of the shots i have taken.

There is a selection of establishing shots that reveal the ominous canvas and the painter. As the introduction progresses the camera cuts closer and closer. Eventually the camera finishes below the canvas looking up at it. The idea was to show the importance of the canvas in this film.

The next shots shows the painter selecting a brush. This adds a slight pause before the painting begins. Adding a level of suspense.

The initial strokes are painter out of sight. Again this adds to the suspense but also allows us to cut to the next shot of the painting half done.

The camera cuts to extreme close up of the brush painting before cutting to extreme close up of the finished painting. The editing is very fast paced at this point which matches the soundtrack. Each square of paint is only on screen for a few frames.

Then the whole painting is reveled, and the editing slows down. The camera waits on this shot for some time to allow the viewed to observe it.

In reverse to the intro the camera cuts between shots that begin to move away.
